This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage (like local storage) that FounderMag and the third parties we link to use. We keep this list short on purpose — FounderMag doesn't run third-party ad networks or tracking pixels of its own.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a site can store in your browser. We also use "local storage," a similar browser feature that isn't sent with every request the way a cookie is. We treat both the same way in this policy.
2. What we use, and why
- Preference (local storage, first-party). Remembers your light/dark theme choice so it persists between visits — stored on your device only, never sent to us.
- Functional (FounderMag / newsletter provider). Lets the newsletter signup form submit and confirm successfully.
- Affiliate / referral (third-party). Set by a partner's site after you click a deal or affiliate link, so they can attribute the referral to FounderMag.
We don't currently run display advertising or third-party analytics trackers on FounderMag. If that changes, we'll update this policy and the "Last updated" date above before doing so.
3. Third-party cookies
When you click an affiliate or deal link, you leave FounderMag and land on that product's own site, which may set its own cookies to track the referral (so they know to credit FounderMag) and for their own purposes. Those cookies are governed by the third party's privacy and cookie policy, not ours.
4. Managing cookies and local storage
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and local storage through their settings, and you can browse FounderMag with cookies disabled — the only effect is that your theme preference won't be remembered between visits. Blocking cookies on third-party sites you reach through our links is controlled by your browser too, not by FounderMag.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Site's functionality changes. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
