Editorial independence
Whether a product gets covered, and how it's scored, is an editorial decision made independently of any affiliate relationship. We don't accept payment for a positive review, and a product's affiliate commission rate does not influence its rating, its ranking in a Best Tools guide, or whether we recommend it at all. Where we've been given free access to a product for testing, or where an article is sponsored, we say so directly in that article — separately from this general disclosure.
Why this doesn't cost you anything
Affiliate commissions are paid by the product or platform, out of their own marketing budget, when a referral converts. They don't change the price you pay — in many cases, a deal link gets you a discount you wouldn't have found on your own.
Our sources and standards
Coverage decisions and scoring are based on hands-on use, public information from the vendor, and reporting from the sources listed in our editorial guidelines — not on which programs pay the highest commission.
